What we do
Extension
More room on a house that is already there. Structurally sound, permit included, and built so it belongs to the house rather than leaning against it.

Is it allowed, and how much?
An extension almost always touches the volume of the building, and therefore the permit. How much you may add depends on what is already on the plot and what the planning rules allow. We find that out before you make plans, not after.
Meeting the existing house
The difference between an extension that belongs and one that is stuck on sits in the joins: floor level, roof edge, window rhythm, the same render colour. And below ground: a new foundation that settles differently from the old one shows up as cracks within a few years.
Working around a lived-in house
With an extension the house usually stays in use. That calls for agreements about dust, access, water and power, and about which days are noisy. We put those on paper beforehand, so you know where you stand.
What you get from us
- Finding out what your plot still allows
- A structural design that meets the existing foundation
- Permit application through the architect
- Agreements on dust, access and noise, on paper beforehand
- A finish that matches the existing house, inside and out
